Summer is....

Well, the garden is thriving, except where the rabbits have attacked! I've just finished putting up the deer/rabbit netting and replanting the beans and adding in some kale. The tomatoes and coriander are happy as can be. I even had enough to freeze.

Summer is well under way. At the lake there are baby ducks (and swans too)

A DIY project to make a terrible dresser loved by two little girls (they picked the spray paint)

This guy was caught having a rummage in the garden

Fishing at the lake

June. Too early for swimming, but that didn't stop us.

Work in progress

I started putting some picture up yesterday and I realized everything is so out of sequence, and it just doesn't make any sense. In December 2013 we left Scotland and moved to Australia (Victoria). We lived there for just over a year, before moving back to the USA in late March 2014.

I know, I know, three countries (three continents!) in less than 10 years. But guess what, I am done moving (or at least I very much hope that I am). We are back living in Michigan, just like we were back in 2006 when we left the first time. This time we are living in the middle of the state, and I love it. I love my job, the area, and the kids love school. It's great.

I'm going to post some more pictures on here that are out of sequence, but that's only because I want to get them up before I forget, and I'm too busy to do it any other way. After that I'll try to stick in order, and I should have some fun things to post as we get the house in order---our furniture only just arrived after a 2 month trip across the ocean.

I'm behind in posting (part 1)

We had a wild good time in December and January with my parents. We traveled, we saw, we did. We took some pictures!

The Festive Season

Our Sunflowers in full bloom. The middle one bloomed first and then got caught in a very windy day.

We took a short holiday in New South Wales. I loved it there, they have bats. In the park. And excellent Indian food. Seriously, yum!

It's been a cool spring (I think)

We have had some hot days............

Jess found this blue tongued lizard in the garden today. That is her sunning spot and she wasn't happy to share it. I read recently that these lizards give birth to live young AND can live for 30 years. Cool!

Merry Christmas!
